For the past four decades, the Sharma family has been feeding this delicious dish to the people at Namak Mandi Chowk in Amritsar. Gaurav Sharma says that his father started making Halwa Kachori 40 years ago. Now he is taking this work forward. Gaurav Sharma says that every effort is made that there is no deficiency in our taste.

Queue starts from 6 am
People like the halwa and kachori here so much that the connoisseurs of the taste stand in queues from 6 in the morning. Please tell that by around 11 am all the food in the stall gets over. Not only halwa, kachori, but also malpura and matthi made in desi ghee are available in the shop. Gaurav says that every dish made here is specially made in desi ghee, so that there is no shortage in taste.
